Born in Germany and a Canadian citizen, Mass Abedi splits his time between Europe and Vancouver. Educated at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich, he graduated in 1989 with a Business Administration degree. Pursuing his passion for the film business in Canada, he attended the Vancouver Film School, completed the Motion Picture Producer's Program at SAIT in Calgary, and became a member of the Directors Guild of Canada. Returning to Germany, Mass went to work for Berlusconi's TELE 5 Network as Assistant Project Manager & Production Controller. He joined later the German SportsNetwork DSF and the Plaza Media Broadcast Center as head of Outside Broadcasting units. In 1998 he joined Helkon Media AG as head of production.

In 2001, Mass was contracted as Event Manager for the German-Canadian Co-production Exchange Forum in Munich and later appointed as Consultant to the HVB-Consult, helping to evaluate the Kirch Group's film library. He has also been supervising the Big Brother weekly-live reality show for RTL Television in Croatia. Mass brings his skills, expertise and contacts to act as a liaison between producers and MovieSet™.

Lindsay recently finished the Film Production Program at the University of British Columbia. There she was able to write, direct, shoot and edit various short films.

When she isn't working on her own projects, she's busy as an Art Directior on short films and will be editing the up and coming CityTv funded 'Oppenheimer Park'. Lindsay is writing a new script she plans to direct in the fall.

Sean Arden, recently nominated for a Canadian New Media Award in the Emerging Innovator of the Year category, has a colourful work and scholastic history. After receiving his diploma in animation, Sean worked in Canada and Holland on a variety of children's television shows. He also has designed 3 monuments in Ottawa for the National Capital Commision. After returning to school to complete a Bachelor of Media Arts at Emily Carr he began assisting Julie Andreyev and travelled widely in Europe and North America installing her work. Currently he freelances as a technician and installer for Julie and several other Vancouver based artists including Stan Douglas.

Graham is a recent graduate of the Digital Film and Video program at the Arts Institute in Burnaby. He spent his time there both writing and editing various short films, corporate videos, documentaries and music videos. A highlight included editing and developing the concept for a PSA that took second place at the BC Student Film Festival. Graham is currently continuing to develop these skills at MovieSet™.

In the future he will continue doing what he loves - writing and editing. In his spare time Graham is always up for watching a movie or reading about them.

Ryan is new media enthusiast who works to bridge the gap between mainstream and digital mediums.

Ryan graduated from Yeshiva University with a degree in psychology. Since graduating, Ryan has worked as journalist in the Middle East and at NowPublic, a web 2.0 news portal, as Assistant News Director. Ryan is also a freelance writer and often writes about arts and entertainment including movies and the people who make them.

Chris has been involved in web development for over 10 years, creating public web sites and intranet resource management systems for established corporations and startups alike. He is capable at every level of the technology stack from networking, server setup, data design, to programming, although he now spends most of his time capturing project requirements and translating them into code. He is proficient with a number of languages, frameworks and content management systems (he has created 2 of these), but lately prefers using the Drupal application platform. Chris is also an active member of the open source community.

A graduate of UBC, Chris made the jump from engineering consulting to the IT industry after attending Vancouver Film School. He was on the winning team of the SFU Tong Award for entrepreneurship in 2004, and went on to compete at the Ivey School of Business and Telus BC New Ventures later that year.

Philipp came to MovieSet™ from Signals Design Group. Before that he spent over two years at TBWA\Vancouver. At both firms he was part of the brand strategy and account teams working on such high profile clients as Vancity, The Forzani Group, Westport Innovations, Blast Radius, and Cactus Club Cafe. Prior to that, he worked at SMAK and Electronic Arts. Born in Zurich Switzerland, Philipp has a Communications degree from Simon Fraser University.

Philipp sits on committees for the Lotus Awards, VIDFEST and BC Children’s Hospital. If he’s not conquering the grouse grind or at the gym, he’s on the tennis court. He also enjoys writing reviews on his latest dinning experiences and staying on top of current events.

Brent came to MovieSet™ from Kaleidoscope in which he was taught by an industry professional how to edit film, as well as the aspects of shooting short movies. He has knowledge in Photoshop and brings an artistic flavor to the group. Brent has spent his whole life discovering what is possible with technology and art.

In his waking hours he is a DJ waiting to be discovered. He performs almost every weekend at house parties, club nights and underground events to all hours of the morning. He is very involved in the Vancouver electronic music community and hopes to one day promote his own events or start up a dance club.

Patrick has been writing online about movies for more than a decade. In 1995 he created Corona's Coming Attractions, the first website to talk about upcoming movies and share insider info with the public. He has written for several major magazines and online publications and was photographed by "Vanity Fair" as one of Hollywood's mavericks of the internet.

He is happily married and has two wonderful children, three cats, one dog and way too many DVDs.

Having recently graduated from the University of British Columbia where he earned an interdisciplinary bachelor’s degree, with a focus in Philosophy, Literature and Theatre, Ryan certainly has a passion for the sources that often inspire film.

In his spare time, Ryan writes and produces short films. One such short film, Morris, was recently screened to positive reviews at the Los Angeles International Film Festival, the Palm Springs International Festival of Shorts and the Rhode Island International Film Festival. Ryan will be attending Osgoode Hall Law School this year, with the aim of entering the entertainment law field.
